The good news is that online advertising can help to achieve all of those goals. It is definitely not a silver bullet and should not be the only method you use, but it can be highly effective as part of your overall marketing strategy.

Can Online Advertising Really Help With All Of These Goals For My Home Care Agency?

The same strategy cannot meet every single goal. Google Adwords cannot help your company reach the same goal that a LinkedIn ad can. A Google Remarketing campaign will achieve a different goal than Facebook ads.

So how can online advertising be an effective solution that helps you achieve the goals that you have for your home care business?

  • Adults spend an average of 11.5 hours a day online, either on a mobile device, a tablet, a laptop or a desktop computer.
  • 85 percent of all searches for services or products occur online.
  • 54.5 percent of individuals are unable to identify online ads.
  • On average, people spend 50 minutes a day on Facebook. Watching TV, eating and drinking, and sleep are the only things that we spend more time on.

We will stop at those four. However, these are impressive statistics. If people spend so much time online and half of them are unable to identify ads, then that sounds like the ideal opportunity for your home care business to take advantage of.

The good news is you can choose what your online advertising budget is going to be. If you have a lower budget, Facebook works best, It is the most cost-effective online advertising method that is available.

Facebook is the ideal solution for private duty home care and home healthcare for recruiting caregivers. There have been very successful campaigns targeting job candidates using Facebook.

Costs can be completely different on LinkedIn and Google.  These are text ads showing up at the top of search results pages. They can be very expensive and competitive. You will have to compete with national companies and big home care agencies.

Does that mean you should avoid Google Adwords? No – there are 3.5 billion searches done every day on Google. In order for it to make sense, Google AdWords needs to fit within your budget and be the best option for achieving your business goals.

When it comes to LinkedIn, the same is true. This online advertising platform is one of the most expensive forms of online advertising. The cost per click on LinkedIn can range from $7 to $100. By contrast, on Facebook, cost per click is often less than one dollar (and even around $0.25 sometimes). In the B2B arena (think of referral sources), it can work particularly well. However, it won’t be the answer for recruiting caregivers, finding clients directly or for light industrial.

There is no such thing as a cookie-cutter solution that will work for all businesses wanting to use online adverting to achieve their business goals, however, if your goals line up with any of the above-mentioned topics then a targeted and well-crafted PPC ad campaign could greatly benefit your business.

Working in the online advertising space on a daily basis, I am biased and believe that all home care businesses should use some kind of online advertising campaign to promote themselves. It can be difficult to dispute the large number of people who are online on a daily basis and how much time they spend on their mobile devices, tablets, laptops, and computers.
